Tug McGraw Baseball Tournament

So this weekend I had the opportunity to shoot some pictures for a ball tournament, hosted by one of Mark's friends. Not to mention, sponsored, by the Tug McGraw Foundation. What a rewarding experience. All of these kids came out to play in support of all the people battling brain tumors. It was pretty awesome. Not to mention a few famous faces ( John Kruk, Keith Anderson, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill) and mascots made an appearance to show their support. I feel honored to have been at the weekend event. Sadly it rained the tournament out and not actual games were played, but arrangements were made and festivities continued from Music City Ball Park, to Showtime out in Franklin. Thanks Chris for asking me to come and take a few shots.

In the front row of this picture is McKenzie (pink pants). She came out Saturday after being in chemo treatment on Friday. Quite the tough chick let me tell you. Her motto is "Go Fight WIN!", and I say that last part with all my heart! "GO FIGHT WIN MCKENZIE!!"

Say Whaaa?

Joaquin Phoenix is seriously walking the line right now. Many are speculating that his recent retirement from acting to his ungraceful debut of rapping, is a hoax. Could he be making a mockumentary? What in the hizzle does he really think he is doing? He made a comment in an interview saying that this rapping thing was just him putting himself out there. Some people may like it and maybe they won't, but he feels the same way about acting. He said that people could look at him in a movie and wonder why in the hell he's playing the role.
Well, Mr. Phoenix, or should I say J. Phoezzie, I urge you to sit back, at a barber shop and take a look at yourself rapping if you seriously aren't joking. Acting is most certainly his calling. I have loved him in everything I have seen him in. He always plays the role perfectly. He was on my Hollywood Hot Guys list. Now look at him. His beard has it's own zip code and his clothes? The beanie? He looks like he stole a homeless guys wardrobe. What is he doing? I really hope this is a joke. I would hate to see someone as talented as he is flush his career down the rap toilet. He wouldn't be the first, nor will he be the last though.

Get Back

Ok, I like Kathryn Heigl. I first saw her in My Father the Hero in 1994. I've always liked her. I'm not exactly sure what happened recently, but apparently she made some comments about something and was called a hypocrite, ungrateful and few other things. Some even said she shouldn't be able to act anymore. I think I even heard a rumor that the director of Grey's Anatomy was so angry with her that they planned to kill her off with a brain tumor. I don't know what happened but I do have to say I became a bit irritated when I saw her accept an award for 27 Dresses at the peoples choice awards.
She came plowing up the stage, with the cast and some of the crew of the film, and made a b-line for the microphone. She did, however, slap hands with a few audience members. When she got up there she grabbed her co-star and just started rambling. Of course it was all about how great the fans are and that it wouldn't have happened without them and suddenly it turned to me, me, me. Not one other person said a thank you or anything. Right towards the end of her speech she was all "I'm so glad you guys are ok with me." She kind of squeaked away from the mic as she said that. I don't know why but I got kind of annoyed with that. Maybe it's just me. Probably, really, shouldn't be a huge deal, but for some reason it felt so self centered to me.
Of course your fans are going to be ok with you. Most of the things said of you came straight from Hollywood and the media. I think it must just be me. I prefer stars that are modest and humble. She just seemed overly ecstatic, as if her career all hung on this award. Ok, I'm just being retarded. I'm not making any sense. This is one of those things that only I can understand. I guess Hollywood can do that to you. People would hate me. I would get extremely annoyed at people mis-understanding me and then turning around and making me the bad guy because of my views. Maybe I just really wanted to play this video:

Rated CVE (Cover Virgin Ears)

FYI: This is not my normal everyday listening. I just liked it because of Tom Cruise.

Eh.

Whew!! It's been quite a while since I have written. Lately I can't remember to wake up. I swear I've been sleep walking through the days. My house is a dirty mess, clothes aren't washed and dishes and getting up and cleaning themselves they are so dirty. I've had my nose shoved in these Twilight books, not to mention picture taking and wedding events. I swear. Not much else has been going on though. Thank GOD! I don't know how much more I could take. I think I have swayed into a bit of a depression with it all. Just too much to do and not enough hours in the day to take care of it all. So, just a random thought: "HOW HOT IS ROBERT PATTINSON?!" Hey, I know I know, I'm a married woman. I'm only human and I've only realized that just recently. Ha. Not like none of you haven't swooned after Brad Pitt or Scarlet Johansen (men?). I am looking forward to Halloween tomorrow. I've decided to dress up as Smurfette thanks to a new friend and her fantastic ideas. my outfit is probably a sad attempt, but hey, I think Smurfette got tired of wearing the same old thing so I need to mix it up for her a bit. Here is my struggle though. I can find tights in every color and form accept the blue that I need. Really? I mean who would wear neon green tights before they wore the blue. Give me a break. I've got until tomorrow to find blue tights with feet! I'm not about to paint my legs blue. I have a photo shoot the next day and it's going to be all I can do to get the blue paint off of my face as to not scare the two year old that I'm taking pictures of. Maybe the lollipop will help me out there. Anyway, just checking in, saying hello and Happy Halloween.

Obsession

Ok, so never in my life have I ever been completely obsessed with one thing in particular. I have recently developed an, ironically insatiable thirst for the Twilight Saga and the movie due out in November. I cannot get my face out of the books. They feel so real, as if this could happen to you at any moment. You can almost feel the characters breathing. The cast is phenomenal as well. Many people have said that Kristen Stewart was plain for the role and that Robert Pattinson was to ugly to play Edward Cullen, the deliciously loving and dangerous vampire in the book. I beg to differ. Plain or not, Kristen Stewart has an allure to her. Something mysterious, strong, yet so evident which is what brings out her beauty. Plain, I think not. Robert Pattinson brings the same and when you see him, you know how hard he works to make every character the best it can be. His gazes, his voice, his posture and smirks. They were all carefully thought out and then owned. Ugly, I most certainly think not. Two beautiful people portraying the characters exactly as I had imagined. Perfect. Well, with one exception. I was Bella of course, but Kristen will do. (grin) From the trailers that I have seen, no one else could have portrayed them any more perfect. No one else could have made you believe they were none other than Edward or Bella. Absolutely astonishing to me.
I have finished the first two books in recored time; record time on my watch anyway. I am drowning in anticipation to get to the third and fourth and finally see the movie whose trailers I haven't been able to keep my eyes off of for days. This is going to be one of the biggest events in their lives and obviously a much anticipated saga for all of the readers. I don't think the actors even had a clue as to what they signed up for. Get ready guys. Super stardom is on a countdown for you and it will be here in 31 days. Stay cooped up in you apartment as long as you can because when you come out, all hell will break loose. Your life is never going to be the same. You have just created the ultimate love story of your generation. Something all they guys will have to live up to and all the girls will have to try and be.

Jewel Gone Cuntray

Now, I have all of her CDs, but Jewel's most recent is probably not one that I will buy. Although there are a few songs that luckily I can purchase on iTunes, I will not be buying the whole thing. You can hear the old jewel in there, but the country soaked instrumental sort of ruins it all for me. There are only a few that don't have that sliding guitar and twang to them. I would have to give it only two and a half stars out of 5. Now, had she just been her same old folky self, I may think differently. Jewel has always sounded a bit on the country side but with her own unique touch. I think she took it a bit too far with this one. I hate it when singers push themselves into a different genre like that. Jessica Simpson has been doing a country album as well. I am anticipating that one something fierce; along with a bullet in the eyeball.
