Melissa and Derek Married!!

Melissa and Derek. These two were fabulous to be around. Both of them are full of spunk, laughter, wittiness and love. When I walked into the Turkey Ranch, of course I was expecting turkey gobbles and maybe an old beat up barn. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. There are fields of wild daisies and flowers with nice tall grasses—perfect for taking photos. Then there is a huge white stable/party barn. Melissa was dead set on having her wedding outside, but unfortunately rain put quite the damper on the situation. Oh she tried so, so hard to get that wedding outside but with rain up past your ankles, it just wasn't going to happen. Good thing I brought along my rain boots and giant umbrella.

We moved the wedding indoors to the stable/party barn and afterwords, with their super laid back demeanor, Melissa and Derek braved the rain, opened up the giant umbrella, put on some rain boots, and we got some sweet shots outside. It was quite a day to remember, and when you have a bride willing to get a little mess on the dress, it can really make for some memorable shots.

Thanks Melissa and Derek for asking me to capture those memories for you. I wish all the blessings in the world for you and 60 years of marriage hand in hand.

Another shout out to Miss Hannah Elaine for recommending me! Thanks my friend!
