Creepy Crawlies

First it started with moles, then lots of bird crap. After that came the box beetles, then the enormous spider crickets. Last week the cicadas started flying and then this guy comes out . . .

I REALLY hope thats the extent of the creepy crawlies around here.

Sydeny is 8 Months!

Little Miss Sydney just keeps getting bigger and bigger. It seems like just yesterday I was taking her 3 month photos. I really enjoyed this shoot. Sydney's grandpa lives out in Nolensville on a big piece of property with horses, a gorgeous creek and tons of lush grass. Such a dream for shooting photos. We put her in a few different outfits, but the tutu and fluffy bow stole my heart. I can't wait until she's walking around for her one year!!

Check out a few of my favorite shots from this little pixie.

Baby Bella and Fam!

Bella is a California baby who was visiting family so they could be a part of her dedication. When they stepped out of the car I was completely giddy. Her little purple outfit, adorable shoes and full head of hair!! You just wanted to squeeze her she was so cute. I'm so glad that they sought me out for photos while they were in town. Even with the ridiculously unpredictable Tennessee weather, we bared a nip in the air and got some beautiful shots.

John Cureton Photos

John Cureton-Acting, Directing, Film, Music, etc. John is a down to earth, intelligent and all around cool guy with many talents up his sleeve, and he doesn't let them get to his head. I really had a great time walking around Hillsboro village and making him feel awkward getting his picture taken. Good conversation, good coffee, laughs and good photos. It made for a great, somewhat rainy, and chilly 2 hours.

I had such a hard time picking out favorites. For a guy who felt a little weird taking pictures by himself, he sure did murder this session, so I will apologize for the long post, but I couldn't help it.

Mark & Christi ENGAGED

I have known Christi since she was 12 or 13, and I can't believe she's getting married. I'm just as excited about the wedding as I was about these photos. We had such a nice time, and I have to say that Mark was such a great sport and came in handy as a heating blanket when Christi started to feel the chill in the air.

Christi and Mark, thanks for asking me shoot with you guys for a bit! I wish you both all the happiness and blessings that life can bring. See you on the beach!!!

Mark and 5 Quick Things

Every time I get a good picture of Mark, somehow it ends up missing. He tends to be pretty non-smiley in photos, so when I snag a shot like this, I cherish it.

Here are 5 quick things about Mark:

1. Watching TV with him is like watching with a little kid. He's always talking through it and asking questions. Even if neither of you has ever seen the movie.

2. He's impeccably clean.

3. He loves him some Kentucky basketball, and knows everything there is to know about the who's who of Kentucky Wildcats.

4. It never fails that he HAS TO HAVE SOMETHING SWEET right after dinner, and no that doesn't mean me. ;0)

5. He has a special pajama dance just for me. It a cross between the Carlton and Charlie Chaplin. Pretty humorous.

Love you, through thick and thin.

Mafia Boys (Nashville Family Photography)

I can't really even write a long post about these fantastic little men! They totally embraced the ideas and props thrown at them and we just had a blast. Take a look. The pictures say it all I think. I loved taking these photos!!
