Olive and Sinclair Chocolate Goodness

Raise your hand if you like chocolate!

OHHH ME, ME, ME, ME, ME!! I think there is something dysfunctional about you if you don't enjoy a nice rich piece of cake or creamy bar every so often. Chocolate is in that pizza category with me. The category of warning signs and danger alerts, but you just have to take that chance and eat the whole bar or piece, knowing you won't go run it off anytime soon. Chocolate is even that much sweeter during that special time of the month when Aunt Flo is around. You hate her, but she always brings you a reason for chocolate. TMI? Who said it was your blog anyway?

Well, I love me a good piece of dark chocolate (get your mind out of the gutter people) and it is even that much sweeter when it looks like this.

Today I had a rep from a printing company come in to talk to me. I didn't have a lot of time so he handed me a card and popped out this bad boy. I totally felt like I was in Willie Wonka about to open a golden ticket. I felt like a kid who had just stepped into a candy shop in an old western movie in 1920. This packaging is so awesomely designed and authentic, right down to the imprint into the chocolate. I almost didn't want to eat it. Of course my interest was peaked so I searched for the website. Even cooler though it is just in the making. Then I headed over to their facebook page where I found a ton of pictures of how they make the chocolate. There is this one chocolate bar that has a sea salt flavor to it and if you have never tried chocolate with a little sea salt then you are missing out. I do, however, overly enjoy salt on just about anything so you actually may not be missing out but, whatevs.

I first discovered sea salt on a chocolate iced cupcake from Naticakes in downtown Franklin, so I was ecstatic when I saw a facebook picture of an Olive & Sinclair chocolate bar that had sea salt on it. Who would have thought the combo would be so yummy. Just the right amount of sweet and salty; I can't WAIT to try it. This chocolate bar is even that much more totally sweet because it is made right here in Nashville. Our own little unique sort of hidden treasure store of delicious chocolate. If all candy was packaged like this, I would be in trouble. Being a graphic designer I tend to judge the book by it's cover. Thank goodness candy doesn't always look this cool. Any whoobie, check out their facebook page or their blog and hop on over a grab you a bar and don't be boring about it—grab one that sounds weird and love it for its weirdness.
