Hello October! Can you believe it? Time is flying by on a jet plane or, more like a Delorian. I finally have become used to writing the year 2008 and here we are. The leaves are changing, the weather is most certainly more pleasant than usual (global warming ya'll) and in 3 months I will again be battling my brain to remember that it's 2009. October is a fantastic month though. You get to see, feel and hear the world around you change. Speaking of change, those elections are might close and it scares the bejeezus out of me. No side is to my liking at all. One doesn't know what he's talking about and the other is about ready to croak and leave a woman who seems completely clueless (just like one of us apparently) in charge of this country. I don't know if it could get worse. I don't want to say that because unfortunately we all know it could. Things do have to get worse sometimes before they get better though. Let's just hope for better. Who knows who will provide that glimmer of hope for all of us.
I'm looking forward the fall though. The crisp cool night air, the vibrant reds and yellow, the scent of cinnamon and cloves and fresh apples and possible dressing up like a Strawberry Shortcake (Sara ;0). I do love this time of year though. This is the one month when everything in your life seems to calm down for a split second. All you worry about is comfort, hot apple cider and a fun costume. So grab a mug, some cider a good and a blanket and have a happy fall.
