Matt and Martha have become newlyweds!! I never really got the chance to meet Matt due to him being stationed for the Marines, but when I finally did I was so delighted. He is a man in support of our country, genuine, humble and has a wonderful laugh. Martha is all of the same, making them a match made in heaven. Mark and I have known her father since we were kids and he actually officiated our wedding. Therefore is was an absolute honor to be asked to photograph his daughters wedding. Although it was a little hot and muggy, we were able to head outside for a few shots and had a wonderful time and a few laughs.
By laughs I mean, laughing at me. As a photographer I am always concerned of that one horrifying moment. Falling into the cake taking pics, or dropping my camera in the middle of the ceremony, tripping during a very inconvenient moment. Any humiliating thing you can think of I try to make sure I figure out how to avoid them the night before. Well, I never accounted for a hole 2 foot deep in the ground. I was in the middle of walking away to take pictures and talking when . . . BOOM!! I lost my leg in a hole and almost face planted. Everyone was genuinely concerned and all I could do was laugh. I think I felt more embarrassed that no on would laugh with me. So, I have my first embarrassing moment checked off my list. Watch out for huge hidden holes in the ground.
I am so happy for these two and I wish them all the love and blessings for a happy and forever marriage. Thank you guys again for being so sweet and willing. I had a wonderful time and I hope to see you both again for a few more snap shots in the near future
