So, you guys do know that I have a photo blog too, right? Mark was looking at my pictures the other day and realized that no one has commented on any of my photos. Oh, well, it may be because I actually post them on facebook too and anyone who cares comments there. Speaking of photography, the picture that you see above is by one of my favorite photographers. Her name is Sharon Montrose. I have loved her work for years, not only for the simplicity of her prints but because, well of course the animals. She mainly has publications with animals, one of my favorites being Cationary.
I'm a complete and total cat lover. I have been since I was little. We have a dog too that we have to constantly discipline, but I can't help but let out a giant evil belly laugh when my cat, Sky, perches on the kitchen table, paw in the air ready to provoke her. Anyway, I'm trying to reach out to find some creative outlets and ideas of where I need to push to further my career or I guess skills. Sharon Montrose is one of the reasons that I ever picked up a camera. I'd like to sit in on a photo shoot with her and see how she gets all of these animals to sit still. I mean, really, how to you get a goat to pay attention to you?

What a cute photo. Definitely beats Anne Geddes :)
ReplyDeleteAs far as getting a goat to pay attention to you, my guess is carrots, garbage, and undapants. Those guys'll tear anything up.
Hope you're having a great day!
That looks just like my cat, Mogwai, when she was a kitten! And now she does that to my Christmas tree.
ReplyDeleteI was just about laughing until I cried here. Undapants. That was awesome.
ReplyDeleteShe holds your christmas tree hostage to a white wall? Interesting. My cat uses the tree as a fort so he can jump out and attack Lola.
